A description of “Rakuyaki” (Handmade Pottery) “Rakuyaki” is a kind of soft and absorbent pottery. Please learn about the unique characteristics of Rakuyaki in the details below. The surface color of the pottery works will gradually change while using them. This is completely normal and happens with all genuine Rakuyaki pottery. This is part of the charm of Rakuyaki. However, deep colored liquids can affect the overall color of the piece. Also, please avoid putting vinegar or acidic liquid in it. If you leave water in your Rakuyaki for a long time, some might seep out. We recommend that you put a cloth under it for protection. Please avoid using a dishwasher with your Rakuyaki. We encourage you to wash it by hand. The most important thing is to dry it thoroughly after using it.  We say that Rakuyaki is made by the craftsman, but fully completed when used daily by the owner. Please do not keep it in your cupboard—use it in your daily life! That makes your Rakuyaki perfect.



「楽焼」は柔らかく吸水性のあるやきものです。以下の点にご注意頂き、楽焼の特性をお楽しみ頂きながらお使い下さい。なお、ご使用後はよく乾燥させる事が大切です。  

茶碗・湯呑・ぐい呑などは、まずしっかり使い込んで下さい。3週間ほど続けてお使い頂くとにおいのしにくい器になります。お使い頂くうちに、作品表面の色あいが変化する場合がありますが、「時代がついていく」あらわれです。楽焼の変化をお楽しみ頂けましたら幸いです。
濃い色の液体を器に入れると吸収し全体の色合いに影響します。また、酢のものや酸性の強いものを入れる事も変色の原因になりますのでお避け下さい。
長時間水を入れて放置しますとまれに作品の下に水が染み出てくる場合がありますので、そのような場合に備え、敷物を敷いてお使い下さい。
食器洗い機のご使用はお控え頂き、手洗いをお勧め致します。  

楽は「造り手半分、使い手半分」と申します。しまっておかれずにお使い頂きながら、お使いになられる方と共に作品も時代を経、完成に近づけていって下さいましたら幸いです。
