About Akahikogama Studio 
We make Rakuyaki, which the Japanese tea master Sen no Rikyu devised, and the potter Chojiro first baked, cherishing the philosophy and making efforts to get close to the spirit of WABI, which means “austere beauty.” We started Akahikogama Studio on the waterfront road in Gamagori city. Akahiko is named after a historic shrine, Akahiko Shrine, and has been baking earnestly for over 60 years.
We moved to Kaminogo in the city later on. Kaminogo used to be called Akahikogo. We’re fortunately working at the place where our studio name originated. We’re also called Akahikoyaki by the local people, and we welcome them and also guests from Tokyo, Osaka and from overseas.

You can hold our pottery in your hands at our gallery and also purchase your favorite items.

Location 10 min. drive north from Gamagori Station or from Otowagamagori IC on the highway. We take irregular holidays.

安加比古窯について
茶聖千利休が考え出し、長次郎が焼き上げた「楽焼」を、その理念を大切にしながら、また侘びの心に少しでも近づけるように努力しながら制作活動をしています。　安加比古窯（あかひこがま）は愛知県蒲郡市の海岸通りで仕事を始め、蒲郡の由緒ある神社である、赤日子神社より名前を頂き安加比古窯と窯名を定め、六十年近くひたすら焼いて参りました楽焼の窯元です。  　
後に市内の神ノ郷町に移りましたが、付近一帯は昔「安加比古郷」と呼ばれていた所で、幸いにも名前の由来の地で仕事ができることになりました。地元では安加比古焼（あかひこやき）とも呼ばれ、地元の方や東京、大阪、海外よりお客さまを迎えながら窯の火を守っております。　

当窯ギャラリーでは作品を手にとってご覧頂けます。また、ご購入頂くこともできます。

当窯へは、蒲郡駅から北へ車で10分弱、東名高速「音羽蒲郡IC」から車で10分強です。不定休ですのでお出かけの際には、事前にお問い合わせください。 090-9268-4853
